Policy covers any loss or damage to the insured property which is under construction including construction materials, equipments and machinery during construction work or installation of machinery against unforeseen and sudden accidental loss.

This insurance policy covers all the risk in the field or on the site of the contractor except some exclusions, given below.
 
Exclusions:
This policy does not liable for the loss and damages,
  1. Due to war, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities, civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot and strike, lock-out or usurped power.
  2. Nuclear reaction, nuclear radiation or radioactive contamination.
  3. Willful act or willful negligence of the insured or of his representative.
  4. Cessation of work whether total or partial.
 
4. COMMENTS:
The basic concept is to offer comprehensive and adequate protection against loss or damage in respect of the contract's works, construction plant and equipment and / or construction machinery, as well as against third party claims in respect of property damage and / or bodily injury arising in connection with the execution of a construction project.
